Earlier this week, Disney and Lucasfilm announced that the one hour “Star Wars Rebels” movie special will debut on Disney Channel on October 3. But in the meantime, another animated short has been released.
“Star Wars Rebels” takes place approximately five years before Star Wars Episode IV, when the Rebel Alliance wasn’t yet a real threat to the Empire. The first the four “Rebels” shorts focused on Hera (Vanessa Marshall) and Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr.) on the Ghost with Chopper the droid, the second short, “Art Attack” puts the focus on Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar), a female Mandalorian warrior.
As seen here, Sabine is an artist and a warrior and she uses both of her skill sets against a crew of Stormtroopers while creating a distraction for her friends on the Ghost.

The third “Star Wars Rebels” short is expected to be released next Monday, August 25. And all four “Star Wars Rebels” shorts will be included on the DVD release of the one hour pilot, “Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion” on October 14.
“Star Wars Rebels” will premiere as a weekly series on Disney XD on Monday, October 13.
