This report contains potential spoilers for “Game of Thrones” Season 5 and the end of the fourth season, if you haven’t caught up with the show. You’ve been warned!
During the fourth season of “Game of Thrones,’ Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) confronted his father, Tywin (Charles Dance) and shot him twice with a crossbow. Although Tywin appeared to die, this may not be the end of Charles Dance’s time on the show.
While speaking with MTV UK about his new film Dracula Untold, Dance said ““I’m not completely missing out on the next series. More than that, I’m not going to say… You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister, is all I’ll say.”

The most likely theories are that Dance may portray Tywin’s corpse in the first episode of the new season or possibly appear as a “younger” version of Tywin in flashback sequences. “Game of Thrones” has never previously used flashbacks, but there is the potential that could change in the new season.
Sean Bean has recently stated his desire to return to “Game of Thrones” for flashbacks that would delve into the origin of Ned’s bastard son, Jon Snow. If the “Game of Thrones” producers decide to finally show flashbacks, it could allow them to bring back both Bean and Dance.
“Game of Thrones” Season 5 will premiere in Spring 2015 on HBO.
