Last year, Corey Stoll followed up his two season stint on Netflix’s “House of Cards” with a leading role in FX’s upcoming vampire drama, “The Strain.” But it looks like Stoll will be doing double duty on another prominent TV series this fall.
Deadline is reporting that Stoll has been signed to a recurring role on “Homeland” Season 4 as Sandy Bachman, CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan who is said to be “a rising star in the agency’s firmament.” Also joining the cast is Laila Robins as Martha Boyd, the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan. Unlike Stoll, Robins will be a full series regular on “Homeland.”
Stoll has previously has previously starred in “Law & Order: LA” and he has also appeared on “The Good Wife,” “Numb3rs,” “Life on Mars,” “The Unusuals,” “NCIS” and “The Nine.” Robins has also appeared in three different “Law & Order” series, in addition to roles on “The Sopranos,” “Witchblade,” “30 Rock,” “Person of Interest” and “Bored To Death.”
“Homeland” Season 4 is being filmed in South Africa as the story refocuses on Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) in her new role on the frontline of the war on terror in Pakistan. Mandy Patinkin, Rupert Friend and Nazanin Boniadi will return as series regulars for the fourth season.
Showtime is expected to premiere “Homeland” Season 4 this fall.
