Amazon MGM Studios’ Spider-Noir series has added a Yellowstone actor to the cast. The 25-year-old Kai Caster is the latest actor to join the sprawling cast of the upcoming MGM+ show.

Kai Caster will appear in a guest role in Spider-Noir, an upcoming show from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, Deadline reported. Not much is known about the character he will be playing in the series, but they would reportedly have a special connection to a previously announced character.

The official logline for Spider-Noir reads, “An aging and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.”

Notably, Cage, who has previously voiced an iteration of Spider-Noir in the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), will portray the titular character in the eponymous live-action series. The cast also includes Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Lukas Haas, and Karen Rodriguez. Gleeson will reportedly essay the role of a New York mob boss, whereas Li will depict a nightclub singer. Andrew Robinson, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Amy Aquino, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, and Andrew Caldwell have also been announced as cast members.

Oren Uziel, whose resume includes Mortal Kombat: Rebirth (2010), 22 Jump Street (2014), and The Cloverfield Paradox (2018), is the co-creator of the series alongside Steve Lightfoot, known for his work on NBC’s Hannibal, and Netflix’s The Punisher.

The series was originally announced in early 2023. In May 2024, confirmation came that Cage had joined the cast to portray the main character. Production started in mid-2024, and in a recent interview with ComingSoon, Lukas Haas seemingly hinted that filming had wrapped. Haas also speculated that the series, which will have eight episodes, might come out both in color and black-and-white.
