Photos of Everton’s new signing Aaron Lennon circulated the internet yesterday, showing the former Tottenham winger looking less than happy after being loaned to Everton.
The series of images each depicted Lennon grimacing whilst doing various typical post-signing activities, such as holding up his new shirt, giving an interview to the press and awkwardly standing around in a changing room, uncomfortably resting his arm upon a shelf.
Lennon’s sombre facial expressions inevitably led to people mocking him online, which the 27-year-old responded to on Twitter, writing: “Even though i may not look it in the pics I’m buzzing to be here,enjoyed my 1st day at training and everyone made me feel really welcome”.
Lennon was one of a mere handful of relatively interesting transfers made on transfer deadline day, in what was a rather disappointing affair that even Sky Sports’ Jim White couldn’t make exciting.
Clearly Lennon wasn’t too impressed, either.
