World Cup 2014: Luis Suarez Taunts England Fans Following World Cup Defeat

Luis Suarez dashed England’s World Cup hopes yesterday (June 19th) after propelling Uruguay to a 2-1 victory over the Three Lions, meaning that England now have an incredibly slim chance of advancing to the knockout stages of the tournament.

Speaking after the match, Suarez decided to rub the victory in the faces of England fans who have criticised the controversial striker, saying: “I dreamt this. I’m enjoying this moment, because of all I suffered, the criticism I received. So, there you go.

“It was one of the best games I’ve played. It’s an amazing moment for me. Maybe a few days ago I thought this wouldn’t be possible.

“Before the game too many people in England laughed about my attitude over the last few years. This is a very good time for me. I want to see what they think now.”

The criticisms levelled against Suarez haven’t been without merit. Suarez has received numerous suspensions during his time playing in the Premier League at Liverpool, with him being given match bans for racially abusing Patrice Evra, biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic and swearing at Liverpool supporters. Though his undeniable talent led to Liverpool having one of their most successful seasons in quite some time and earned him the PFA Player of the League nod, these comments should hopefully lead to English supporters rightfully booing him once again.
