I've been to hundreds of baseball games in my lifetime. Although I've come close once or twice, never have I had the thrill of catching a ball from the stands. Sure, it's just a baseball, but you're catching an actual piece of the game itself.
Now imagine going to Wrigley Field, one of the most iconic pieces of baseball history, having a foul ball ripped down the line directly at you, and you let it fall through your finger tips.
Such a play happened to a fan at Wrigley this weekend when a Marcell Ozuna foul ball blew into the right side stands, falling through the hands of the fan in the video below. But watch what happens next — something none of us have ever seen before.
Who's the better man? The Marlins fan that gave up the ball he caught from the Cubs' Nate Schierholtz fair and square only to give it back to the opposing fan who lost it? Or the fan who gave it the ball back to his son?
Faith in humanity is restored.
