If you thought the SyFy movie Sharknado was an amusing enough proposition (and judging from our Twitter feed, millions of you do), then an exchange of tweets between ESPN and the San Jose Sharks should earn a snicker.
Crave’s NESN website Friday reported on a tweet the evening before from @ESPN asking @SanJoseSharks whether they had ever considered renaming the franchise the San Jose Sharknados.
Leave it to a hockey team to surprise with a pretty witty riposte:
Hey @espn, thoughts on showing more hockey highlights?
While that may make NHL fans feel better about the constant lack of coverage on ESPN, it likely won’t inspire a sharknado of clips to suddenly appear on the sports network.
