For some time now, both Drake and Kanye West have been hinting at the fact that they might collaborate on a project sometime soon. Well, when the rapper heavyweights appeared together on stage Monday at Drake’s OVO Fest in Toronto, Kanye teased fans by asking, “Ready for this album,” and introducing Drizzy.
Both West and Drake also performed together recently in Chicago during a Kanye concert.
West released the album The Life of Pablo last February, his seventh studio album. Meanwhile, Drake put out his highly anticipated Views in April.
Writer Hugh McIntyre of Forbes wrote: “If the two ever do release an album together, the chances of it being anything but a blockbuster are slim to none. Kanye and Drake are two of the biggest and most successful artists on the planet, and if their talents were to combine, it would truly be a force to be reckoned with… Drake has always been successful when it comes to music, but this year has seen him really hit his stride and become the biggest on the planet. Both his album Views and his single ‘One Dance’ rank as the most popular of the year, and both ruled their respective charts for double digit frames. Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo managed to become his seventh No. 1 album, and his sixth as a solo act.”
