Jack White is clearly the undisputed Willy Wonka of Rock, with his outrageous album trinkets and secret music stashes in furniture upholstery, and the legend grows even richer with a new prize-baiting scratch-off poster that takes promotion for Jack’s Las Vegas show at the Brooklyn Bowl this month to innovative new heights.
Designed by DigitasLBi Chicago designers Matthew Jacobson – formerly head of design at White’s label Third Man Records – and Shelby Rodeffer, the Three-Armed Bandit poster gives people the chance to win limited-edition records and gift-cards through a three-panel scratch-off feature.

A collector’s wet dream? Absolutely. Especially considering that the symbols each relate to a Jack White song. In reference to the song “Three Women,” if you reveal a redhead, blonde and brunette you win three limited edition records – see below.
If you discover the images of Nietzche, Freud and Horace – named in the lyrics of Bat Black Licorice – you’ll win live comedy LPs from Third Man, while those who reveal three matching men from the Third Man Records logo win a $300 gift card. Not a bad little gamble.
A limited run of posters will be made available – at one per address – on magicpaper.bigcartel.com.
