It would seem that Noel Gallagher’s popularity has endured, as the former Oasis songwriter’s UK tour has sold out in just 10 minutes.
The tour will take Noel Gallagher and his band the High Flying Birds to Belfast, Dublin, Nottingham, Glasgow and London, with tickets going on sale through his official website at 9am BST today (October 17th).
Unfortunately, a lot of fans were left without tickets as UK residents were left clambering over one another to gain entry to the tour, which will see Noel promoting his upcoming album Chasing Yesterday, which is set for release on March 2nd, 2015.
Chasing Yesterday was unveiled during a live Q&A session streamed on Facebook, with its first single ‘In The Heat Of The Moment set to be released digitally on November 17th, with a limited edition 7-inch vinyl making its way to store shelves, too.

Both Gallagher brothers recently received an unlikely compliment from Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, who stated that Oasis were the “soundtrack to his life.”
“The Oasis phenomenon cut across all shapes, sizes, boundaries and classes”, Ulrich said. “Everybody knew Oasis, and in some way were impacted by them.”

Oasis were rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury 2015, despite the band having split up on poor terms. However, with Noel touring his latest LP it’s likely that at least one Gallagher will be making his way to the Worthy Farm festival next year.
