South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone based a whole episode of the show around Lorde, revealing that the New Zealand musician isn’t actually a 17-year-old girl at all… but rather the alter-ego of Randy Marsh.
The episode sees Randy reveal to his son Stan how easy it is to assume the guise of a modern day pop star, using nothing but software on his laptop.

While Lorde probably isn’t the best fit for this particular joke, what with it being widely accepted that she’s a step away from the regurgitated pop that we’ve been suffocated by in recent years, it’s still a biting take on the magic of music production. Also, it features a helluva lot of Randy Marsh, which is never, ever a bad thing.
