CraveOnstage: Gavin Turek Pleads For Vulnerability on ‘Pride’

Musical lightning bolt Gavin Turek returns to CraveOnstage sessions today with “Pride,” a promising taste of what will follow her debut EP The Break-Up Tape. Crackling with an infectiously buoyant energy that was made for pop music, the singer-songwriter, producer and professionally trained dancer digs into the laid-back groove laid by her impressive backing band for a memorable performance.

At home in the intersections of pop, R&B and EDM, Gavin has honed and expanded her style in collaborations with a variety of artists, from her features on some of TOKiMONSTA’s biggest hits (“Little Pleasures,” “Darkest (Dim),” “Clean Slate” and “Foolish”) to an entire mixtape with Com Truise (Com Truise vs. Gavin (Re)mixtape). Her own recorded debut, The Break-Up Tape, is a three-track EP of electro-pop inspired by a bad breakup, a musical grieving process laced by Moroder-inspired synth beats and captivating lyrics.

After checking out her first clip “Remember,” have a watch of “Pride,” Gavin’s latest CraveOnstage performance, below. Taped at Bedrock LA, the electrifying pop track is the second offering in a handful of exclusive DailyMotion clips we’ll be rolling out from the session this week.

Keep an eye out for Gavin Turek’s upcoming debut album, which we’ll bring you details on as soon as they’re available. In the meantime, keep up with Gavin at her official site, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
