It’s bound to be a beautiful weekend in Boston as September kicks off, with the lineup for the September 2014 edition of Boston Calling delivering one hell of a badass run of artists.
The festival, which will take place Sept. 5-7 on City Hall Plaza will feature five headliners including Brooklyn-based indie deities The National, who headlined the inaugural edition of Boston Calling last May. Joining them will be Grammy-winning pop chanteuse Lorde, garage rock legends The Replacements, alt-folk cult magnets Neutral Milk Hotel, and New York legend Nas, who recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his seminal album “Illmatic”. He’ll be backed by Fallon house band The Roots.
Meanwhile, the undercard is a steady run of guaranteed goodness, featuring dance-hybridizer Girl Talk, Childish Gambino, Spoon, Bleachers, The Hold Steady and more. See the full Boston Calling 2014 lineup below.
