Bands have been pulled from the British Summer Time festival line-up due to technical difficulties on one of the stages.
The Barclaycard Theatre was closed during The Libertines’ headline day after technical problems were made apparent on the stage, with Graham Coxon’s slot being cancelled and Swim Deep being forced to go on at a later time. With the problems still persisting, a number of other acts scheduled to appear on the stage have now been pulled from the bill, too, with others also being rescheduled to perform on different stages of the Hyde Park, London festival.

Among the cancelled acts for McBusted’s headline day are Five and Lawson, with Young Kato’s performance moving to Village Hall at 16:50, Hollywood Ending to the Summer Stage at 14:00 and Wheatus to the Summer Stage at 17:45.
A statement released by British Summer Time reads: “Due to a technical fault in The Barclaycard Theatre, the safety officer has decided to close the venue until necessary repairs are made. We apologise to the artists and to the fans attending today for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.”
Thus far the festival has gone down well with fans, as The Libertines performed a triumphant comeback set while Arcade Fire ran through their critically acclaimed latest album Reflektor during their headline day.
