Bring Me The Horizon decided that the best way to honour Coldplay, who were given the ‘Godlike Genius’ awards at last night’s NME Awards 2016 ceremony, was to jump on their table and awkwardly kick over the band’s booze.
BMTH’s frontman Oli Sykes made the immature yet still pretty hilarious statement during the band’s performance of ‘Happy Song’, leaping onto Coldplay’s table in the 02 Academy Brixton before kicking around some drinks, while an uncomfortable Chris Martin could do nothing but watch on as his vodka ‘n’ coke toppled to the floor.
Watch the moment below:
Chris Martin said that he had “never heard of” Bring Me The Horizon, but said of the moment:”It was great, very rock n roll.”
Bring Me The Horizon picked up the Innovation Award at the ceremony.
