You may not recognize the name Ricky Reed, but you’ve definitely heard his music. The Grammy-nominated multi-platinum producer (he’s up for 2017 Producer of the Year) has been behind hits from the likes of Phantogram, Fitz and the Tantrums, Meghan Trainor, D.R.A.M., Pussy Riot and Twenty One Pilots, including their smash “Ride.”

Now, he’s ready to tell his own stories, stepping out from behind the curtain as a solo artist with a forthcoming album set to release this year. Crave is exclusively premiering Ricky Reed’s new music video for his first single, “Be The 1.”
Reed personally directed and hand-drew the black-and-white animated video, featuring a geometric self-portrait style and swirling cosmic graphics that echo the song’s space odyssey of synthesizers and pulsing, infectious grooves.
