We all know it, but is anybody to admit the major actors who absolutely need to get out before it’s too late? We’ve already talked about great actors who make garbage movies , but when will the madness end? With a shortage in great blockbusters in a superhero-friendly cine-verse, Hollywood doesn’t seem to know what to do with good actors .Besides make pure shit , of course.
Calling out all the great actors in the game who have stuck around a little too long, where the classics have faded and now all we recall are the recent mistakes and terrible movie tragedies. When De Niro goes from The Godfather to The Godfocker and Johnny Depp goes from being the man to being The Tourist , somebody has to be bold enough to let them know it’s not worth the money or spotlight to take on movies that tarnish a once-flawless acting career.
It might be too late for Nic Cage, but how do you feel about these major actors who have stuck around (maybe) a little too long? Definitely maybe.
10 Major Actors Who Absolutely Need To Get Out Now Before It’s Too Late
Actors to Retire
Dan Aykroyd
As much as we love Ghostbusters, the year 2016 showed us those days are clearly over. Stick to your vodka and ghost stories, Dan, your days have passed.
Adam Sandler
It might be about as late for Adam as it is for Nic Cage.
While we appreciate Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison as much as the next guy, the cheesy Disney movies and below-par Netflix movies have to stop.
Robert De Niro
Come on, Bob, you were Scorsese's boy and starred in Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, and Cape Fear, and it was beautiful.
Now you've got rubber tits (Meet the Fockers) and have become the old guy trying to learn how to use an iPhone at a start-up with a bunch of nerds (The Intern).
Jack Black
Stick to Tenacious D, please.

Jim Carrey
Jim is one of our favorites, but he's gone so existential in recent months that it's almost hard to listen to him (although he's hilarious on Norm McDonald's recent podcast).
That, coupled with the lack of comedies in the last 20 years, tells us he should stick to painting and existential speaking rather than forcing comedy sequels we don't need. Love ya, Jim!
Morgan Freeman
Freeman is about as ubiquitous as Sam Jackson, except while maintaining most of his integrity.
Maybe it's time to call it quits before it's too late.

Jane Fonda
Some of us can handle more Jane Fonda than others. After three seasons of Grace & Frankie and a recent movie with other elder actors (Robert Redford, Bruce Dern), we think now is a good stopping point. Or not, whichever.
Al Pacino
When we saw Pacino go from Scent of a Woman to doing the bad guy in the third "Oceans" movie, we knew the fall of grace has happened. Then he did some weird movies .
Bruce Willis
After 30 years of progressively worsening "Die Hard" franchise movies and another actor unnecessarily in an "Oceans" sequel, we think Willis can take a break. That is, unless of course, he shows up in a future Friends reunion to sport some of these sweet moves again.
We don't need to work up to Die Hard: Dead & Totally Hard.
Johnny Depp
It's no secret Depp has struggled at the box office outside of his roles as Captain Jack, but now those pirate movies have seen their last bits of light. And since his personal life has hit the crapper more than a few times, maybe now would be a good time to focus on music. He could replace Keith Richards in the Stones before that gets any scarier for us to witness.
