We’ve all heard about them: the terrors of short-term rentals. We just didn’t know until we saw with our own eyes. As a former host myself, I know Airbnb and other short-term hosting services look out for their homeowners and protect against a bad situation, but that didn’t come without a bit of a learning curve.
All of the pictures herein are reportedly either current or former short-term listings or the fallout of bad tenants. While picking a good vacation destination is important, avoiding bad ideas for short-term rentals is even more paramount to allow the capacity to enjoy your travels.
Without further adieu, we give you some overboard minimalism, converted brothels and bed bug chic that will make your head spin and force you to be a little more careful with where you rest your head.
