An epic solar eclipse will cross over the heart of the United States this upcoming Monday, August 21. While everyone is encouraged to check out the once-in-a-lifetime event, caution is urged. After all, you don’t want to burn your retina … or get eaten by Lizard Man.
Fortunately, emergency personnel are well prepared for the possible apocalyptic, paranormal happenings that are sure to spring up when the moon crosses perfectly between the sun and the Earth.
Just check out this post from the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, which reads …
“This historical map is in response to recent #scmedia reports about possible paranormal activity associated with the upcoming total eclipse. SCEMD does not know if Lizardmen become more active during a solar eclipse, but we advise residents of Lee and Sumter counties to remain ever vigilant. #solareclipse2017”

According to Charleston, SC’s The Post And Courier, the ‘Lizard Man’ was first spotted in 1988 by a then 17-year-old kid named Christopher Davis.
Davis was driving around 2 a.m. one summer morning, when he got a flat tire near Scape Ore Swamp. After he finished changing it, he claimed a “red-eyed devil” appeared about 30-yards away. Davis was able to get into his car and drive as the alleged creature jumped on the roof. He threw the thing off, but said that it was able to keep up with the car at speeds up to 40 mph.
Davis’s story gathered international attention and reported “Lizard Man” sightings continued up to as recently as 2015, according to a story by The State newspaper. Even two police officers said they were convinced “something is out there” after having an alleged encounter about a month after Davis’s experience.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. NASA’s Scientific Visualization Center published a“Sunsquach,” graphic that shows exactly where you could run into Big Foot and get a great view of the eclipse at the same time!

There’s also this video of a Big Foot ‘sighting’ in North Carolina that was just reported in the local paper.
So what do you need this coming Monday if you’re in the path of the eclipse? Eclipse glasses, a map, and pounds of garlic. Lizards hate garlic. Trust me.
Here’s a creepy video just to serve as a recap, ya know, for your viewing pleasure.
