Hey, it’s Florida, so of course it’s a good idea to have a machete nearby.
As if it wasn’t bad enough to live in Florida, now you have to worry about a group of home invaders breaking into your home. But luckily for this homeowner, he was prepared to fight back. It all kicked off when five thieves broke into the homeowner’s home in Sarasota at around 4:45 a.m. armed with a shotgun.
The incident was caught on surveillance video and shows the homeowner’s pal immediately put his hands up as the home invaders look for things to take. But not so fast because the homeowner then comes out of nowhere with a machete in hand and of course the thieves bail. Well, most of them bail as the homeowner was able to hold one of the thieves until police came.
Check out the video below.
Police arrested Alen Beltran-Vazquez, who was the thief that the homeowner was holding, as well as the other home invaders: Angel Cabrera-Basulto, Ronier Jauregui-Lorente, Jorge Valido-Leyva and Roberto Salcedo-Balanza. All of these idiots are now in custody.
Beltran-Vazquez is charged with two counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. There’s more. Jauregui-Lorente and Cabrera-Basulto are each charged with two counts of armed robbery. And finally, Valido-Leyva and Salcedo-Balanza face two counts each of principal to armed robbery.
So the dudes with a shotgun were scared off by a dude with a machete. Smooth.
