And somewhere else, a brilliant future chemical engineer will now have to settle for Brown.
According to The Tennessean, a teenager in Tennessee will not only be the first person in her family to attend college, but she’ll also be the first to go to Yale thanks to a quirky response she gave when prompted to write a short essay on her admissions application.
The topic of that essay? You guessed it: Her love of ordering pizza from Papa John’s.
Girl’s Essay About Her Love Of Papa John’s Pizza Gets Her Admitted To Yale

“Honestly, I thought I should go with the first thing that popped in my head,” Carolina Williams told the paper. “It was completely genuine.”
Well, it turned out the admissions officer reviewing her application also enjoyed pizza and was “tickled” by the unique response, writing “As a fellow lover of pizza, I laughed out loud (then ordered pizza) after reading your application,” on her acceptance note.

Now before you go all 2017 on this young lady, let us mention that “she also ranked in the top 10 of her graduating class and participated in several extracurricular activities including English Honors Society, National Honors Society, Model UN and Youth in Government.”
So yeah, while the pizza thing was cute and funny, she obviously deserved to go to Yale even without that answer, so you’ll have to find something else to bitch about today.
