A Turkey Crashed Through An SUV On The Highway And The Aftermath Is Nuts

Of all the things that can happen to you on a highway, including being attacked by a snake, I don’t know anyone expects for a turkey to come flying at them through their windshield, but it looks like that is what happened on an Indiana highway to some poor driver.

According to the Indiana police department, a turkey came crashing through the windshield of an SUV traveling at 55 mph. And guess what? That turkey ended up in the rear hatch compartment. The Danville Metropolitan Police Department said the turkey was attempting to fly across U.S. Highway 36 when it struck the windshield of the 2007 Chevy Tahoe. And now it looks like the driver might need a new windshield. Hell, they might just need a whole new truck.

Take a look at the post shared on Facebook by the police department.

What a hit.

Don’t know if you can tell, but yeah, the turkey unfortunately didn’t survive. As for the driver, they did survive as they were just treated for minor injuries from the broken glass of the windshield.

So if you want to avoid a turkey disaster like this, make sure to take the police department’s advice:

“We’d like to give you some tips on how to avoid something like this, but we’ve got nothing.”

Oh. Well, just keep an eye out for those wild turkeys.
