Here’s A Great White Shark Almost Making A Cameraman His Next Meal

There’s a few reasons you won’t find me in open water very often: One: I’m a garbage swimmer. Two: I’m deathly pale. Three: A shark might bite me. And yes, I’ve seen plenty of shark movies to back up my claim. For now, let’s focus on the last reason, because one guy almost saw his life end thanks to a shark.

The crazy footage below was taken in South Africa off the coast of the Western Cape, and it shows a great white pop out of the water out of nowhere and come way too close to the cameraman who probably needed some new underwear after his encounter.

No, that was not movie magic, that actually happened. And it’s freaking scary as all hell. Hell, the last time I was at the beach I lost my mind because something touched my foot (I think it was seaweed), so I can’t imagine the heart attack I would have had if I was in this cameraman’s shoes (flippers).

But don’t worry, the cameraman is OK. And I’m sure he made a “you’re gonna need a bigger boat” joke once he got back in the boat and changed his shorts.
