Driving on the highways in and around our nation’s capital can be quite distracting, as one minute you’re feasting your eyes on the magnificent Lincoln Memorial, and the next minute, it’s the Iwo Jima Memorial. And then you’ll find that it’s time to pull over to take a photo of a breathtaking view of the Washington Monument and Capitol Hill. And then it’s time to watch a huge deer jump over your motorcycle.

That’s right, kids. Watch as these guys participating in the 2015 Distinguished Gentleman’s’ Ride in Washington, D.C. have to not only hit the brakes but also swerve to avoid a giant buck who picked one hell of time to cross the road. Of course, there was one unlucky bastard who tried his damnedest to stay upright, but he eventually lost control and wiped out as the massive beast did his best Air Jordan impression over his bike.

While the footage was taken along the George Washington Parkway almost two years ago, it didn’t start going viral until several media outlets ran with it this week.
The motorcyclists had apparently passed a deer crossing sign just moments before the huge buck made a run for it. Luckily, no riders were physically injured from the deer’s suicidal sprint across the highway, but it’s unknown how much the poor dude who wiped out has had to drop on therapy sessions to erase the flashbacks of what could have been a horrific way to go out.
