I guess she just wasn’t fast enough.
While this woman did not stop at a drive-thru to order some food while being chased by police like this guy did, she still couldn’t get away from police, as she was eventually tackled after unsuccessfully climbing a fence.
Detroit was the spot for the police pursuit which involved a woman being chased by police while she drove in a Ford Transit van. According to police, the woman was being chased because of a possible kidnapping. And according to Cmdr. Timothy Leach, police received a call and heard a child screaming in the background. The woman sped off after police went to the scene.
The woman did everything from driving on front lawns to sidewalks, anything to get away. Of course it was to no avail because cops caught up.

Once police caught up with the woman they discovered that there was no kid in the van.
And who was the officer behind the tackle? Officer Nikole Jabour.
“I started running for her and I tackled her,” said Jabour. “That was it…My dad, all he said was, ‘are you okay?’ I said ‘yes.’ My mom said, ‘that was so cool. I saw you on tv.’ My brother said he couldn’t stop watching it.”
Police also said the van was previously used in a felony, so there’s that.
As for the 28-year-old woman who was tackled? Well she was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
