If you’re like me (poor), then even everyday luxury cars are out of your price range. When I see someone driving around in a brand new Mercedes, I think, “I need their job.” But then I come across supercars and think, “who the hell has $2 million dollars to crap away on a car?” We’ll apparently enough people for these companies to keep making them. Hooray, capitalism! And who knows, maybe some of you can afford one of these cars. If so, are you hiring?
Cars You Will Never Be Able To Afford
1.) Ferrari F40
The Ferrari F40 is an oldie, but a goldie. Only 1315 of them were built from 1987-1992. The sticker price was a cool $400k, but they are going for around $1 million now. Why is an older car so expensive? Because it’s been called the “greatest supercar the world has ever seen.”
2.) Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
This car held the record for the fastest production car ever built when it reached a mind-blowing top speed of 268 mph! It’ll cost you over $1.7 million, which is about equal to what you’ll spend in new underwear after crapping your pants from driving this beast every time you drive it.
3.) Hennessey Venom GT
Remember how I said the Bugatti held the record for fastest production car ever built? Well, it was beaten by the Venom GT. The Venom was clocked at 270.47 mph. Only 13 of these cars were built, and one of them was owned by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. But he sold it and donated that money to his charity Janie’s Fund. What a waste.
4.) Pagani Huayra
I’ve never heard of “Pagani,” but that’s probably because I’m low class. This beauty has a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 made by AMG. It has 730 metric horses under the hood, which makes it capable of getting to 60 mph from stationery in just 3.3 seconds. It has a top speed of 230 mph. The car’s light weight is thanks to a chassis made from something called “carbotanium,” which I believe is what Wolverine’s skeleton is made from. Even if you can afford the $1.7 million dollar price tag, you’ll still have to wait 3 years because it’s backordered.

5.) Koenigsegg Regera
Is car porn a thing? Because this car is gorgeous. It was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Its production is limited to only 80 units, which will sell at an ungodly $1.9 million each. Which is what you’ll spend in underwear from spooging in your pants from owning this car. The brass at Koenigsegg say, “The Regera will be the most powerful and fastest accelerating production car ever.” So, I guess we’ll wait and see if it’s faster than the Bugatti or Venom. It is powered by a 5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a colossal 1,800 horsepower. It uses the in-house developed Koenigsegg Direct Drive System, which gets rid of the need for a transmission.
6.) McLaren 675LT
The McLaren 675LT is powered by a 3.8-litre V8 engine that makes the car accelerate from 0-60mph in just 2.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 205 mph. It looks awesome, and might be the most affordable car on this list, with a sticker price of $350,000. So, if you have some extra cash laying around, get yourself a McLaren!
7.) Mercedes CLK GTR
I think Mercedes was just tossing letters together when naming this supercar. I mean, it kinda looks like a CLK, but instead of having a backseat, it has a V12 engine… no word on if the engine has a place for a child seat. They only built 20 of these cars, and they were over $1.5 million dollars brand new. So, you’ll have to wait until one comes up for auction if you want it.
8.) Lamborghini Aventador
The Aventador, while they were in production, started at around $500k. But if you wanted the special edition “Poison” built to celebrate Lambo’s 50th birthday, that car will cost you $4.5 million. The Poison comes with a 6.5 liter V12 and goes 0-60 in just under 3 seconds. This car looks amazing, and since I’m married to a teacher, I will never have one. So let’s just look at the pictures and dream.
