Two Dudes Prank City Council Meeting With Request For 12-Foot Paul Walker Statue

We’ve all seen videos of city council meetings run amok. From the paranoid schizophrenic who thought he was being pursued by a rogue helicopter pilot to just good old-fashioned fun with fart machines (or were those real farts?). The point is that while some take San Clemente City Council meetings deadly serious — as most of the people in video below do — there are those like Chad Kroeger and Bodhi Johnson who are a little more chill on the matter. But don’t let their lax attitudes and surfer demeanors demean their cause. Both are, in fact, very passionate about erecting a Paul Walker statue on the pier to offset the “gnarly times” we are living in. However, I’m probably not doing their plight much justice, so I’ll let them take it from here:

Surfer Dudes Petition City Council With Request For Paul Walker Statue

Eagle-earred listeners (that’s a thing, right?) surely noticed the names Chad Kroeger and Bodhi as references to deplorable garbage band Nickelback (but hey, some people still like them) and the 1991 surfer/heist movie Point Break, respectively. That’s because comedians Tom Allen and Spencer Kalendar didn’t exactly go out of their way to disguise this as much more than a chill, and oddly well-received, joke. I mean Kroeger was calling him Paul Walker the entire time, and yet referred to every other The Fast and the Furious reference by character name. Eh, maybe that was just for effect. Besides, it’s not like Paul Walker even went to school in San Clemente (but his cousin damn well did).

At least this prank was a little less offensive than, say, this one: Pranksters Show Lesbian Porn Scene At Polling Station
