Sounds totally worth it.
Let’s be honest: So much is allowed during a hockey game in terms of fighting and violence that you would have to be a shitdick of biblical proportions to get hauled off the ice by police.
Well, meet Brandon Day.
The Erie Community College freshman defenseman made several trips to the penalty box for tripping and high sticking during his team’s 7-4 loss to Dakota College in the NJCAA title game at SUNY Broome Sunday afternoon, but it was his third and final trip to the sin bin that resulted in him leaving the arena in police custody.
Day was slapped a ten-minute match penalty for abusing an official after he busted out of the penalty box and did this to a 62-year-old referee:

Yeah, there’s a guy with zero issues.
Officials quickly brought the game to an end, giving Dakota College their second consecutive NJCAA championship. Day was ejected from the ice and taken to a locker room, where he is accused of beating the hell of that as well while he was detained. SUNY Broome Police took Day into custody a short while later, and he now faces charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct.
No word on the condition of the elderly referee Day decided to knock to the ice, but we’d like to congratulate him on his early retirement paycheck that should contain a few more zeros than he was expecting. Milk the hell out of this one, buddy.
