Keep doing your thing, science.
Sure, we may not have the cure to a lot of horrible diseases, but at least we know that eating ice cream for breakfast makes you smarter, cursing is a sign of higher intelligence, and if you’re a gal with a big behind, chances are you’re healthy and very smart.
A scientific study done by the University of Oxford — who clearly have a lot of time on their hands — suggests that you should go ahead and work on that behind. The study took data from over 16,000 women and learned that those who have a large bum are more intelligent and more resistant to chronic illnesses. “See, honey? Told you I was looking out for you when I encouraged you to do some squats.”
But why is this so? Well, it seems ladies with big butts have lower cholesterol and glucose levels. They also have higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids. That’s not all. These gals have higher amounts of a hormone called dinopectina, as well, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic properties. In other words, you’re one healthy gal.
“The idea that body fat distribution is important to health has been known for some time,” lead researcher Dr. Konstantinos Manolopoulous said. “However, it is only very recently that thigh fat and a large hip circumference have been shown to promote health; that lower body fat is protective by itself.”
So there you have it, gals. Embrace that bum of yours.
