Oh look! It’s not a story about a teacher who hooked up with a student. It’s just a story about a woman who isn’t a teacher who happened to hook up with a teenager. Well, at least it’s sort of different.
These past few weeks we’ve filled your head with stories relating to teachers — like the one about that married choir teacher who hooked up with a 16-year-old student. And while sex wasn’t involved, the story of that British teacher who got fired for getting drunk on a school field trip. Well, this story involves a little bit of both.
Rachel Carrier, a 35-year-old mother of five from Louisiana, was sent to jail for a year and received a suspended sentence of eight years in state prison after authorities learned that she had sex with a 15-year-old boy. Numerous times. Oh, and she would invite his friends over for alcohol-induced parties. Talk about being the most favorite mom in the neighborhood.
According to authorities, Carrier had “multiple sexual encounters with the unnamed 15-year-old boy and sometimes had him and his friends spend the night at her home. During those sleepovers, Carrier let the teens smoke and drink alcohol.”
Just another reminder that this woman is a mom. Of five kids. Three of which are teenaged daughters.
Carrier was arrested, posted bail and guess what? She continued doing the same damn thing, so of course she was arrested on three felony counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
The judge has now ordered Carrier to retain from having any contact with the victim, his family and all unsupervised minors that aren’t her own relatives. Carrier will also be ordered to register as a sex offender and undergo mental health counseling.
And for the love of everything holy stop letting her host sleepovers for the neighborhood kids.
