The majority of people don’t like Kim Kardashian, and that’s completely understandable. That’s why as much as some people enjoy seeing pictures of Kim’s boobs, they seem to enjoy laughing at Kim like the time Prince kicked her off the stage at his concert.
Lost in the crowd of hundreds of Harley Quinn costumes this Halloween you might find someone bold enough, someone shitty enough to donned a Kim Kardashian getting robbed costume. Earlier this month Kim was bound and gagged as armed men stole millions of dollar in jewelry from her.
First off, let’s take a look at this real costume:
Costumeish, the California-based costume company behind the costume, call this costume the “Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit.” Clearly having everything to do with Kim, since the description of the costume reads:
“She has devoted her life to promoting American decadence, youth, and hedonism but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry and her peace of mind. This Halloween have some fun with pop culture and dress just like the Queen of Social media.”
“I’m sad that people are offended by it, but it is Halloween. It’s one day out of the year,” the company’s Vice President Johnathon Weeks tells BuzzFeed. “Halloween should be a lighthearted, spirited party and people should be able to laugh at it and think it’s funny. We haven’t sold any yet, if that matters….If people find it tasteless or they are offended by it, it’s Halloween, maybe you should just shut your life out and not go outside.”
Damn, Weeks goes hard. People obviously aren’t happy by it.
I know Kim is a terribly annoying person who has gotten super rich off doing absolutely nothing, but it’s kind of rough to make light of anyone being tied and held against their will.
That said, I’m sure hundreds of people will go dressed as this.
