Italy’s Top Court Says It’s OK For Workers To Watch Porn At Lunch

Somebody tell the boss I’m going to need 90 minutes for lunch today.

According to The Local, Italy’s top court decided Wednesday that a Fiat employee did nothing wrong when he watched porn during his lunch break five years ago, so the company cannot fire him for doing so.

A court in the town of Termini Imerese initially found the employee guilty of wrongdoing in 2010, but the man appealed his case, arguing that he was merely “catching a glimpse” of a skin flick on his lunch hour. Palermo’s court of appeal agreed with him and overturned the ruling, one that the high court upheld on Wednesday.

That’s right, kids. Since there was no evidence of the employee’s smut habit carrying over into work hours, the Court of Cassation ruled he had done nothing wrong and shot down Fiat’s attempt to appeal their decision.

The good news for Fiat? You guessed it: The bro who decided to smoke weed on his lunch break was found guilty by the same court Wednesday, so they legally fired him. No word if they’ll allow him to transfer to the dealership in Colorado in lieu of completely letting him go.
