Imbibed as both an after-dinner drink and as a cure for the common cold for hundreds of years, the Hot Toddy is a relatively simple drink that counters the cold weather perfectly. The warmth of the drink helps to open your chest when congested; the honey is an expectorant which helps with your cough, and the liquor helps you relax and sleep.
