Remember when you were a kid and your parents handed you an Advent calendar at the end of November? Technically, an Advent calendar is supposed to be used to count down the days in preparation for Christmas. All I knew is that my parents gave me one every year and each day I was treated to a tasty treat. All I had to do was open a tiny door in correlation to the day and I was rewarded with a piece of milk chocolate shaped like an angel, wreath or something else Christmas related.
Now that I’m an adult, chocolate isn’t as much of a treat as it once was. I have a job and I can go buy a candy bar anytime I want. An Advent calendar full of chocolate just won’t cut it anymore. Luckily for me, they do make adult Advent calendars. The difference is that instead of chocolate each day, you are rewarded with a dram of whisky. That’s right, delicious, magical whisky.
