Miami is a melting pot of cool Cuban and Caribbean culture as well as the decadence that came along with the boom towns of the 20s. The art deco style buildings, the salsa music pumping through the streets, and the hazy glow of neon light on the weekend are all decidedly Miami. The best hotels in Miami share much of these same qualities.
From lush and extravagant, to budget-friendly, Miami has hotel offerings for every budget, and with features that would please even the most hardened traveler.
Whether you are in town for Ultra Music Festival, Art Basel, or just traveling, here are a few of the best hotels in Miami.
Best Miami Hotels
Mandarin Oriental

The property itself is gorgeous, and with its prime South Beach location, the Mandarin Oriental has become somewhat of a destination all its own. From the time you walk into the immaculate lobby, you’ll find that no expense has been spared. Inside you’ll find two restaurants, Azul and La Mar, both of which have rave reviews on all of the travel sites. If you’d rather relax in your room, you’ll enjoy the spacious interiors, and the infinity pool overlooking the bay. Inside each room you’ll find premium beauty products, plush shower robes, and a minibar. If you opt for one of the bay-facing rooms, the views might make you wish you could stay forever.

EPIC Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel

This hotel features high-end everything. The EPIC Hotel is located downtown and while it’s not quite as spacious as the offerings at the Mandarin Oriental, the class is definitely at the same level. You’ll find marble and tile finishes throughout, a separate shower and tub in each room, and you’ll find some amazing food and drinks in the downstairs lounge. If you’re lucky enough to snag a room on the upper floors the view of the bay is gorgeous, and on the other side the city lights tell quite a story after dark.

Hotel Urbano

Hotel Urbano is more of a boutique hotel rather than the chain or luxury types that dominate this area. The art deco design is reminiscent of the decadence that surrounds old Miami. Parking is valet only, which is a nice feature due to a lack of parking and a rather tight entrance and exit area. Inside you’ll find a friendly staff, good food, and lots of local art – most of which is for sale. Another nice touch is the pool featuring a nice waterfall and some pretty cool fire features. If you’re not looking for lux, but rather old-time Miami charm, this is your place.

Four Seasons

The Four Seasons isn’t the cheapest option in Miami, but it’s not all that expensive either. Overall, it’s one of the best hotels in terms of luxury and value in all of Miami. Inside you’ll find beautiful artwork, rich wood and tile decor, and top notch service. Each room is spacious and features a big and luxurious bathroom and extremely comfortable (and clean) beds.
