Aston Martin Licensed to Break Hearts with DB9 GT Bond Edition

From the gorgeous women to the weaponized gadgets, there are plenty of things in the world of James Bond you might wish you could get your hands on in real life. Aston Martin just introduced a very real life machine inspired by Bond’s fantasy world. And, odds are you still won’t come anywhere near one.

Use whatever Bond pun you like. Licensed to thrill? You’re shaken and stirred? However you want to put it, the DB9 GT Bond Edition takes an already gorgeous car and makes it cinematically filthy. Christened to hype the autumn release of Spectre, the 24th Bond film, the car adds several film-friendly flares to the DB9’s 6.0 liter, 540 brake horsepower V12 engine. That power plant beds a rear mid-mounted Touchtronic II six-speed transmission with electronic shift-by-wire control. Add all of that together and Q Branch came up with a car that’ll do 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and a villain-defying top speed of 183.

This 007 DB9 GT comes in what Aston calls Spectre Silver paint — a more metallic version of the classic silver Aston Martin DB5 Bond drove in Goldfinger and again in Skyfall. Both interior and exterior show off special sterling silver Aston Martin badges, while the classic 007 logo is proudly embossed in the car’s cockpit.

Obviously, there’s no ejector seat included in the standard package because no human male in his right mind would ever want to get out of this car. For any man of action with the appropriately coined $237,007, the Bond Edition is sure to draw Pussy Galore
