During Monterey Car Week, all roads eventually lead to the sea and the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Those rolling hills that hosted so much PGA history over the years also welcomes one of the world’s preeminent historic car shows — the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This year’s edition of the Concours filled the 18th hole with a century’s worth of rare, restored and otherwise immaculate vehicles. Some were merely on display as eye candy or as mobile museum pieces, while others compete for the automotive equivalent of Best in Show across multiple categories and periods.

Well dressed and well heeled enthusiasts strolled the fairway, moving from car to car while decked out in period costumes and summer suits worthy of Churchill Downs during Derby Day. A ticket to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance runs $300, but the entry fee is small change when the cars in competition are worth millions.

When the money-soaked dust settled late Sunday afternoon, a single vehicle parked on top as the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Best in Show – an extremely rare and admittedly obscure 1924 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A (above, via the Concours) owned by Jim Patterson and the Patterson Collection of Louisville.
Gearheads everywhere should take a visual tour of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance through the gallery below and decide if they agree with the judge’s final decision.
