In September 2014, LA-based artist Brandon Bird took to Twitter to ask:
How angry would people be if I drew Shia LaBeouf dressed as The Doctor.

Around 15 minutes later, he posted:
That settles it, going to do a takeoff of the “every Doctor” poster every artist at a comic con does, but with Shia LaBeouf as each Doctor.

And, as a man of his word, that’s exactly what he’s done.
Speaking with Mashable recently, Bird said that painting Shia LaBeouf as the 13 different “Doctor Who“ doctors began as a mashup experiment.
“I’ve seen mashups go from being weird and unexpected to a kind of lazy ‘thing you like + other thing you like’ formula,” Bird said. “So I liked the idea of flipping that around and doing ‘thing lots of people love (“Doctor Who”) + thing a lot of people kind of hate (Shia LaBeouf).'”
Interestingly, Bird has said that LaBeouf wasn’t the inspiration for the project, despite the two being neighbours at one point. “I was renting a cool loft space that I couldn’t really afford and he bought a unit right down the hall,” Bird said. “He did a curtsey once to let me off the elevator.”
Elsewhere in the “Doctor Who” universe, a long-awaited Doctor Who festival will arrive in Australia this November.
Elsewhere in the even more warped Shia LaBeouf universe, footage of the actor rapping about Transformers and potatoes emerged online this week, which has already seen him hit with plagiarism allegations by the Anomolies rap crew, whose song “Perfectionist“ includes lyrics which LaBeouf used in his freestlye session.
