This Sunday is the 87th annual Academy Awards. Officially, the title was re-branded as The Oscars in 2013, but it really doesn’t matter what you call it. Regardless of the name, it’s the evening where the best films of the previous year receive praise and accolades for their cinematic achievement. Each winner receives an award in the form of the Oscar statue. Like the Grammy Awards, the Tony Awards, and the Emmy Awards, the Academy Awards is the pinnacle of film industry achievement. This year, the awards honoring the top films of 2014 will take place on February 22nd and will be MC’d by first-time host Neil Patrick Harris.
In the spirit of the event, here is a list of unique, delicious cocktail recipes from our friends at FireLake Grillhouse & Cocktail Bar to imbibe while you watch this year’s top honors given out to the best of the best.
