CraveOnline Takes on Rival Sites in Fantasy Football

It’s going to be us against them for a shot at the Super Bowl.

I’m not referring to the kind of dramatic pep talks you’ll hear once the AFC and NFC Championship games arrive next winter. I mean I’ll be representing CraveOnline in the GMC Fantasy Football League – managing this site’s team against GMs from some of our rival sites.

Coming out on top against such competition is motivation enough for me to take this seriously. Still, GMC is upping the ante as they will host the league winner and a guest at Super Bowl XLIX in Phoenix. I obviously have selfish reasons to want to win this thing beyond just bringing the trophy back to the Crave Online offices. I’m not even sure there is a trophy. I’ll mount the Super Bowl tickets on a plinth if when I win.

The road to Phoenix starts in Denver as GMC will be inviting the participating outlets and writers to Sports Authority Field at Mile High this week for the official draft. I have plenty of homework to do leading up to that.

Starting with the draft this week and throughout the coming season, I’ll be reporting on my progress and the league standings. It’ll either be a glorious documenting of my triumphant genius, or a painful record of my slow march to failure. CraveOnline fans are invited to score along at home and root for the home team.

Then again, if I’ve managed to make any enemies out there with my reporting over the years who’d like to see me make a painful mistake, stick around through the 2014-2015 season. This could be your year.
