It’s a phenomenon, just like the player bearing their name sake and while each pair released may not be on the top of your list of “must have’s,” we’re thinking the next release just might be. The Air Jordan 6 “Spizike” also known as the Air Jordan 6: “History of Jordan” truly marks one of the greatest moments in basketball history.

Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan 6 in 1991 while completing is second MVP season and they became popular when MJ wore them during his first NBA Championship win. That’s undeniably a moment in history so what do you think will happen when you take this iconic shoe and offer it in one of the trendiest, most coveted sneaker colors since Kanye’s Red October Yeezy 2? We predict, pandemonium.
The sneaker is most certainly an attention grabber with it’s red leather upper and hints of black and green detailing. Then the white midsole and ice blue, tinted translucent outsole are the perfect color contrast to set this shoe apart from the rest but the icing on the cake is the inner lining. Since we know what a huge influence Spike Lee aka “Spizike” has had in the history of Jordans through his movie “Do The Right Thing” and beyond, to see the inside lining of the 6’s patterned with a graphic to commemorate the man himself…well, it’s like getting the best of both worlds and paying homage to two game altering legends at the same time.
