PayPal Exec Leaves Company After Branding Manager a “Useless Piece of S***”

A PayPal senior executive has been forced to leave the company after a string of inappropriate and offensive tweets directed towards the site’s management.

PayPal’s director of strategy Rakesh Agrawal took to the social networking site and posted a number of tweets concerning those working within the company, including PayPal’s vice president of global communications Christina Smedley who he branded a “useless piece of s***” and a “useless middle manager”. He also said that an employee named “Don Christmas” (we assume this was a spelling error) should be fired.

Agrawal later blamed his rant on a lack of sleep and also a new Android phone he was using, saying that the tweets were intended to be sent to a colleague in the form of a direct message.

PayPal responded to Agrawal’s rant by tweeting: “Rakesh Agrawal is no longer with the company. Treat everyone with respect. No excuses. PayPal has zero tolerance.” However, Agrawal claimed that this tweet was “misleading” and that he had left the company two weeks prior to sending the tweets.
