Barbecue is fire’s gift to the world, as our Summer Grilling Guyd proves. But, for some, all of the pork and beef rolling off the flame can be a little heavy. Those folks can partake of a BBQ along with their heartier friends with this Barbecued Turkey Burgers recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey (preferably turkey breast)
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tbsp fresh basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp Panko bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 4 rolls of your choice
Preparation: Combine 1 tbsp mustard, Panko crumbs, milk, garlic onion basil and 1/2 of salt and pepper. Add the turkey and mix well.
Form into four patties. Grill burgers over medium heat for about 12 minutes, turn over after 6 minutes.
Spread the cut rolls with the rest of the Dijon mustard. Place burgers on the roll. Sprinkle with the rest of the salt and pepper to taste and serve.
