If you never owned a robe before the pandemic, or if you owned one and never used it, you probably didn’t know that keeping a bathrobe tied is a job in itself. That is, until this nifty TikTok video about the best genius shortcut for tying a robe from @sydneyraz.

What You’ll Need
- A robe with a cincture (that’s what the belt’s called)
- Your Body
Basically, this video explains the mysteries of keeping a bathrobe tied and we learned everything we know about tying a robe is a LIE. Turns out, you don’t need to insert the cincture aka the robe belt in the back… at all. It’s a common misconception that fails to secure it and can leave you accidentally exposing yourself like a creepy uncle. Simply, pull the cincture to the front half of your robe. Then, take the ends of the cincture and pull them forward, cinching it in place, and then tie that in the front.
