Drinking is a social experience. If you’re throwing back a sixer of Natty Ice while you binge watch Netflix alone, it’s really time to reevaluate your life and potentially download a dating app . Once you’re coupled up, though, your days of throwing back a half-dozen shots of tequila are probably over (unless you have the coolest and/or most dysfunctional girlfriend ever). That’s why you need an arsenal of classy cocktails to impress your lady and make every night you spend together special.
Check out all of our choices for the best mixed drinks to share with that special lady according to the day of the week.
Weekday Cocktails
Sunday – Bloody Mary
You’ve probably heard the term "Sunday fun day" and while we consider Sunday to be a day to relax and stay in bed longer than usual, it’s also the perfect day to go to brunch. And the greatest brunch cocktail ever created is the Bloody Mary. This cocktail made with vodka, tomato juice, hot sauce, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and various other crazy ingredients is the perfect accompaniment to good times and plates piled high with eggs, cheese, fried potatoes, and an afternoon nap.

Monday – Vodka Soda
Many people think it’s wrong to have a drink on a Monday, but these people also don’t have stressful jobs that require an insane amount of tedious paperwork. You probably don’t want to go crazy on the first night of the week, but a simple vodka soda should help you and your significant other relax. Nobody wants to wake up with a hangover on a Tuesday.

Tuesday – Daiquiri
By Tuesday, you’ve both probably had it with the work week and are ready to quit your jobs and move to the middle of nowhere and live off the grid for a while. The only thing keeping you at your job and in your current living situation is the thought that you’d miss all the trending topics on Twitter if you gave up your smart phone. Nobody wants that. That’s why you’ll treat yourselves to another simple cocktail: the classic daiquiri. And we aren’t talking about frozen, cloyingly sweet beach cocktails. A real daiquiri is made with rum, lime juice, and simple syrup.

Wednesday – Whiskey Sour
They call Wednesday "Hump Day" for a reason. It’s the middle of the week and once you pass it, you have nothing but smooth sailing until the weekend. But, before the magic that is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you still have to make it through droning, boring, meetings and annoying co-workers. Treat yourself and your loved one to a whiskey sour, a cocktail with a little more kick. Made with bourbon, lime juice, gomme syrup, and an optional egg white, this classic cocktail will cure what ails you if what ails you is a boring, seemingly never-ending work week.

Thursday – Gin Gimlet
Thursday is a rough day because the weekend is so close you can almost taste it. But you still have one more day of work to go before you’re finally free of the burdens of cubicle life. You and your significant other can feel free to mix up something a little higher in alcohol content because you only have to make it through one more day of work. A gin gimlet is refreshing and simple, its ingredients being gin, sweetened lime juice, and soda water.

Friday – Mint Julep
Loverboy was definitely right when they sang “everybody’s working for the weekend.” You and your loved one made it through another work week and it’s time to celebrate. A mint julep with its bourbon, mint leaves, sugar, and water is the perfect way to do that. It’s a fun cocktail to make together and you can sip on it while you sit on a patio enjoying the sunset or inside binge-watching Black Mirror . Whichever you prefer.

Saturday – French 75
If Friday is the exciting undercard of the weekend, Saturday is the main event. It’s time to party. You and your significant other should get dressed up, go out on the town, and really live it up. And there’s nothing that says "party" more than Champagne. Instead of just drinking the bubbly, have it in the form of a French 75 with gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice as well.
