If you’re a male and still don’t know that you should never call any woman overweight, you should probably just remain single forever. And that’s probably what’s going to happen to Shelby Johnson’s now ex-boyfriend.
According to The Sun, Johnson recently shared a few texts of an exchange that her and her boyfriend had — an exchange that included him telling Johnson that she’s getting a tad heavy. Here’s the texts thanks to the 23-year-old’s Twitter.
I am 120 pounds. I have been for about 5 months.
My partner said this to me. Am I overreacting for feeling hurt by this? I’m at a loss and just can’t even comprehend how someone who claims to love me can say this. pic.twitter.com/JpOrtkSZ4h— shelbs (@babyyygucci) March 30, 2018
Here’s a closer look:
It’s pretty clear that this dude is an idiot. Well, to no surprise these texts went viral and Johnson’s boyfriend was shamed and roasted. Oh, and eventually Johnson gave him the boot.
I want to update you guys that we are broken up. He was really unhappy and felt like shit, especially after knowing my tweet went viral. He has told me he’ll use this as a learning experience to be a better person. And here I am, single and free

He needed to be shamed by the internet to realize you don’t call out a woman’s weight? Oh boy…this guy is beyond help. Johnson’s ex-boyfriend had one final message to her:
This tweet going viral helped him see what a jerkoff he was to me. So in actuality I’m so glad this happened. Too little too late, but hopefully losing me helped him learn. pic.twitter.com/QoEpSdjvhT

Well, it’s pretty clear this guy made a huge mistake.
Yep.
