Bacon Is Up To Bat At Yankee Stadium In 2018

There’s nothing quite like a ballpark hot dog in comparison to anywhere else. However, bacon is going to taste like bacon whether you hit up a game, county fair or …actually, where else do they serve bacon on sticks?

Regardless, Yankee Stadium wants to add a little authenticity to their salt-cured meat. No, they aren’t going to start promoting BLT sandwiches. Instead, you can cut to the chase by ordering yourself several thick strips at once served to you on a souvenir …bat?

This seems like a joke, but according to ESPN Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell, it’s legit. While no details such as price have been revealed just yet, the new Bacon Bats (that’s just what we are assuming they will be called, as it rolls right off the tongue) sure look savory. They are in good company, as well. Or, should we say, fatty company:

You can’t honestly call that behemoth a tot. At least it’s the best of both worlds considering along with sour cream, cheddar and scallions, the Tater Keg will be served up with bacon yet again. Perhaps the stadium has at least come up with some sort of healthy drink option to wash it all down.

Welp, it beats a cup of bacon grease, at least. Signature milkshakes topped with miniature cupcakes, brownies, cookies and churros are just what we meant by “healthy.” Take me out to the ballgame, indeed (but maybe stop off at the hospital on the way home so I can get my stomach pumped before all these new items do some irreversible damage to my organs.
