SteelSeries Launch Arctis Pro Headset Line. First High-Fidelity & High-Res Certified Audio Gaming Headset

If you’re tired of using your regular headphones for your gaming sessions, and want something a little more high-end that comes with all the bells and whistles, then SteelSeries’ new line of gaming headsets just might be what you’re looking for.

In a press release, SteelSeries announced the “Arctis Pro” line of gaming headsets. How does it stand out from the dozens of gaming headphones available out there now? According to SteelSeries, the Arctis Pro line is the first-ever gaming certified hi-res audio headphone that delivers high-fidelity, full-resolution audio in its “purest form.” There are three headphones in the Arctis line, which you can read about below.

Arctis Pro + GameDAC ($249.9)

Ready for the technical stuff? Here’s what SteelSeries has to say about the Arctis Pro + GameDAC:

The Arctis Pro + GameDAC is gaming’s first certified Hi-Res Audio System that ensures high-fidelity 96kHz/24-bit with no need for down-sampling. Featuring the legendary ESS Sabre DAC and amp, the Arctis Pro + GameDAC allows gamers to experience the pure joy of high fidelity audio.

The Arctis Pro headsets feature premium speaker drivers with high-density neodymium magnets that reproduce Hi-Res audio out to 40,000 Hz, nearly double the capability of most standard headsets (22,000 Hz). With 121 decibels(dB) of dynamic range and -95dB Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise, the Arctis Pro + GameDAC performs as well as high-end audiophile equipment. For gamers, this means they hear the cleanest and purest audio possible.

The GameDAC also features an OLED screen for easy access to settings and controls, and it doesn’t require any additional software to use. PC gamers that want to dive deeper into sound customization can use the SteelSeries Engine software for “total personalization.”

Arctis Pro Wireless ($329.99)

SteelSeries says the Arctis Pro Wireless is a dual-wireless gaming audio headphone that uses a USB transmitter for wireless 2.4 G lossless audio, and Bluetooth for mobile audio. Same with the GameDAC, the Pro Wireless use the same 40,000 Hz high-fidelity speaker drivers, and the same design. However, the Pro Wireless features a swappable dual-battery system, with each battery estimated to give 10 hours of juice for a total of 20 hours of gaming (estimated).

Additionally, the 2.4 G and Bluetooth connections can be used simultaneously, which means you can game while chatting in Discord or even listening to music. Like the GameDAC, the Arctis Pro Wireless has an OLED screen to adjust settings quickly without the need for additional software.

You can read up on the Arctis Pro line over on the SteelSeries website.
