And like that, a little pice of my childhood is crushed a little bit more. OK, I’ll be honest, it’s been years since I’ve stepped into a Best Buy, but the last time I did enter one I would be lying if I said that I didn’t walk through the CD aisle just because. But guess what, folks, it seems like by July 1 that CD aisle will be no more as Best Buy will be given them the boot.
So while there was a time that you would rush to get yourself the new Justin Bieber or Jonas Brothers CD, well that time will be no more.
Best Buy Is Pulling CDs From Stores
According to Billboard, Best Buy is only generating about $40 million annually on CD business. And don’t feel too safe Target, because you might be next.
And let’s just say that news of CDs ceasing to exist has shaken up the internet big time!
Tide Pod munching millennials will continue to stream music and then wonder why their favorite artists can no longer afford to produce new music.

First I witnessed the end of cassette at big box retail. Then VHS. Now CD. End of another media format era.
But they’ll still carry vinyl, which is weird times man.

Umm is this why I can’t find an imagine dragons cd anywhere in target and they only had Taylor swift CDs which was is super obnoxious
